Relationships with other Christians is detrimental to your spiritual growth. Your spiritual growth depends on being apart of the body of Christ. Other God fearing people just like you. People who know that they can and want to be doing better. There should be no "lone ranger" Christians
Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Summed up this is saying. How can you grow if you don't have a teacher?
Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
We all have a role to take. The Body of Christ is the same way, many people with many different gifts with the same goal. Get closer to God and share the good news. "We are love and that by excepting Him and the great commission we will have a home in heaven."
This responsibility is a huge responsibility. It is to great to handle all by yourself. Learn what church is and how a life involved in a good church is so important. Church from the Greek translation of the word "ekkesia" (eh-kluh-SEE-ah) In Jesus day the word meant a group of citizens who had been called apart for a special meeting and assembly.
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
To be called apart (a chosen people) described by Gods word from above:
1. Royal priesthood,
2. a Holy nation,
3. Gods special possession,
4. once not but now people of God,
5. now receiving mercy.
Ephesians 4:1-4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
The characteristics of the called apart, described by Gods word from above:
1. Live worthy
2. Completely humble
3. Completely gentle
4. patient
5. bearing with love
6. Keep every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through peace
7. Hopeful
The way to allows God's calling on your life, visible is to acknowledge that the Holy Spirit dwells inside of you. Surrender control of your life to Jesus Christ, the one true Savior and watch how drastically your life will change. The change will hurt a lot but will be worth it. Surrender to Him and you will be born again and granted a home with Him in heaven. Learn how to surrender by building relationships with of Christians. Go to church, find a way to get involved. Share your story. Every bump and bruise you have throughout your life is a testament to how Gods love has gotten you through it.
Do not forget that devil is also real and is Gods biggest advesary who will stop at nothing to destroy you.
