It takes forgiveness to be forgiven. It is hard to forgive those who have done wrong to us. If you are someone who is seeking forgiveness be the first to forgive. When our hearts have been scared by someone else, it is difficult to heal, to offer our mercy to the ones. Be glad that it is not something you have to do through alone.
If you are struggling with forgiving, remember it is not something that will happen over night, rely on God to accomplish this seemingly impossible task. Pray and ask Him to help. This is not asking much of God, helping people to relieve trouble is a joy and that is why He tells us to leave our troubles at His feet. With God we will find the strength with in our selves to do incredible works that we may think are impossible. Like forgive someone who has done wrong. God the ultimate forgiver, lives in us and His Holy Spirit is at work within us and with Him we are enabled to choose to forgive.
Try today to forgive someone who has done wrong by you. It doesn't have to be the worst thing that has ever been done to you. Forgive someone for something silly and then the ball will be rolling to forgiving the rest. Forgive and have a good day.
