Remember high school when everyone was hanging out with that really cool kid? Then the cool kid gave you the opportunity to hang out with them but all you had to do was something that wasn't going to make you to proud of your self. We have all been there put in situations that would seem like great opportunities but turn out to be very bad for us in the long run. We may have had to abandon our really good friend for to get the accolades for being cool. Or some people may have done something wrong in order to get noticed my the cool crowd. Either way we have all been there and looking back we may be glad we did what we did because it has made us who we are today but was it worth it?
When it comes to our friendship with Jesus we better not ever turn our backs on Him. Jesus will never turn His back on us and that is not why we should not do it to Him but because it is Jesus. He calls out to us each individually forgives us for everything we do, is always us protecting us.
Imagine this you are with you friend and you are about to do something really dump. Our friends are around telling you that it is a bad idea begging you to stop. But you don't. They tried to stop they treed to protect you but you where to stubborn and didn't hold back and you went and did it.
Jesus is that with us. He tells us not to do things that will hurt Him but He never ever leaves us. He calls us by name constantly welcoming us into His kingdom. Remember the next time and opportunity comes up and you know that it is going to be a dumb thing to do,Jesus is there showing you signs whispering to you what to do, how to handle the situation and no matter what we do Jesus is going to be calling us by name welcoming us back into His kingdom for Jesus is with untill the end.
