Another fork in the road.

Another fork in the road.

We all have a path that is in front of us. It is as if we are at a constant fork in the road. When we hit these points we must allow the hand of God to lead us to where he wants us. If you are only seeking an average life in this present world, do what you want. But, if you are seeking a life full of purpose and an home in heaven stored with many treasures you are going to have to sacrifice where you go.

God led the jews out of persecution from the Egyptians though the wilderness for forty years to test their hearts. Many people died and those around watched loved ones and friends pass away. Imagine watching your friend die while you are on a journey though the woods. At any time they where capable of staying where they where but they continued to trust in where God was taking them.

The way we walk with God is the same way God is going to walk with us. First lets get this straight. God is never going to leave us no matter what we do He is always going to love us. But if we decide to dishonor Him, the support, blessings, whatever we receive will not be the same. We go through tough times and these tough times should be used to strengthen our bond with Him. Walk the hard roads because you will only be able to see the great work of God when you let Him lead you.

What ever the fork in the road is that you are facing, take a moment and understand that the greatest path is the path you walk with God. In your heart you will know which way to go.

Deuteronomy 8 1-5
Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
