Get up and Go.

Get up and Go.

"Truly I tell you, he continued "no prophet is accepted in his hometown."
Luke 4: 24

In this verse Jesus has returned home to see Hs mother and to grab a few items and upon returning home His "fame" has people of the town expecting miracles out of Him. Jesus does not do any miracles what He does is reveal to everyone that He is the true messiah. This did not go over very well for Jesus and was pretty much chased out of His home town.

When someone leaves there hometown they go out and developed new skills, see and meet new people. It is not that they have changed, they have gained new experiences which will cause they to look at things differently.

Like many of us who have left and came back in a way have experienced the same thing Jesus was experiencing. The people in our hometowns have not gone anywhere or done anything new. Naturally some are going to be jealous that they are in the same position in life. It is important that we get out of comfort zone. Get up, challenge our selves to do something different.

If you want to be great you are going to have to leave what is familiar to you. Greatness is unfamiliar. Do not be fearful for when we walk with faith in Jesus name we have the opportunity to put on the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit.

What I want us to all understand do be scared to leave what is familiar for the opportunity to change your life and become the best version of you. If Jesus never left home what would have become of Him? None of us will know because He did leave home and chose the path that was uncomfortable. He left HIs mother and friends in order to grow.
